The K-4th Grade Teacher at Westside Atlanta Charter School will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for students, families, and the school community. Job Description
Demonstrate content knowledge and pedagogy including planning and developing student-centered instructional activities that result in authentic, real-world applications of knowledge.
Demonstrate skill in planning differentiated learning activities based on the diverse instructional needs of students and the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
Demonstrate knowledge of how to structure content by planning activities that progress from simple to complex and are connected in vertical and horizontal alignment.
Demonstrate knowledge of how to plan assessment activities before, during and after a lesson to determine whether students achieved the intended goals.
Professional Responsibilities
Actively engage in faculty meetings, grade-level discussions, school board meetings, and professional development to promote holistic student growth and academic excellence.
Build collaborative relationships with colleagues to plan and assess student-centered learning activities, ensuring alignment of instructional objectives across grades and subjects while fostering a culture of curiosity and academic achievement.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Education.
Current Georgia Teacher certification.
