The Dental Office Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the dental team by assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks. Core Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment following established protocols.
- Greet patients warmly and assist with seating and comfort while ensuring a smooth flow of appointments.
- Escort patients from treatment areas to the front desk and provide them with the necessary instructions.
- Keep all operatories clean and properly stocked at all times.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all clinical and non-clinical areas according to established guidelines and regulations.
- Participate in regular training sessions on infection control practices and safety procedures.
- Assists with weekly inventory of supplies.
- If necessary, assist the front desk staff with various administrative tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM OBJECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic life support certification
- Six months of experience using Microsoft Office software
PREFERRED OBJECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Dental assistant training or experience
- Fluency in written and spoken English and spoken Spanish
