Westwin Elements is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead and manage our commercial project.
About the role
The Senior Construction Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of our commercial construction project exceeding $200 million in value. This role requires a proven leader with extensive experience in managing large-scale projects, ensuring quality, safety, timeliness, and cost-efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a skilled communicator, and a collaborative team player with the expertise to navigate the complexities of high-profile construction initiatives.
What you"ll do
Project Leadership : Oversee all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction through final delivery, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.
Budget Management : Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled while maintaining high-quality standards.
Team Management : Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, including project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Schedule Oversight : Create and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure on-time delivery of milestones and final project completion.
Contract Administration : Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to safeguard the project"s best interests.
Compliance & Safety : Ensure all projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA standards, and maintain a strong emphasis on workplace safety.
Stakeholder Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project"s lifecycle.
Risk Mitigation : Identify potential project risks and implement proactive solutions to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Quality Assurance : Uphold Westwin Elements' commitment to excellence by conducting regular inspections and ensuring work meets or exceeds standards.
Qualifications
Experience : Minimum of 10 years of construction management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects valued at $150MM or higher.
Education : Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
Technical Expertise : Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, materials, and systems, as well as proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6).
Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex, high-stakes projects effectively.
Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
Problem-Solving : Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to address challenges quickly and efficiently.
Knowledge : Familiarity with current construction laws, codes, and best practices.
