Description : Dishwasher
Position Title : Dishwasher
Department : Kitchen
Reports To : Executive Chef
Job Summary : The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes. This role is vital in maintaining the overall hygiene and efficiency of the kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand.
Ensure all washed items meet sanitation and cleanliness standards.Sort and stack clean dishes; ensure they are readily available for use.Kitchen Maintenance :Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, counters, and sinks.
Remove trash and garbage to the designated disposal area.Clean and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and refrigerators as needed.Stocking and Inventory :Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and food items.
Restock items as needed throughout the shift.Team Support :Assist cooks and kitchen staff with other tasks as needed.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.Compliance :Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Adhere to the restaurant’s policies and procedures.Qualifications :
Experience : Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.Skills :Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Working Conditions :
