Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians to join our team. As an Emergency Medical Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing urgent medical care to patients in emergency transport units.
Responsibilities
- Respond to 911 calls for emergency assistance
- Assess patient injuries and quickly determine a course of action
- Perform CPR and defibrillation to resuscitate patients
- Perform physical exams
- Control bleeding and pack or dress patient wounds
- Treat minor wounds, such as cuts and burns
- Open and maintain patient airways
- Assist in childbirth
- Administer oxygen to helps patients breathe
- Administer medications
- Treat symptoms of shock
- Transfer patients in and out of ambulances using backboards and gurneys
- Comfort and reassure patients in distress
- Drive ambulances to and from hospitals and scenes of emergencies
- Communicate with the receiving physicians about patient status and treatments they administered
Education
- Current EMT-B Certification with EVO Endorsement
- NIMS Training
- Valid Driver's License
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
