Westwood Holdings Group has an exciting opportunity for a college student looking to develop their investment management knowledge and gain experience in a fast-paced, hands-on corporate environment that offers you a chance to learn and develop key investment skills while contributing to a positive company culture. The Wealth Team is looking for candidates that have excellent problem-solving capabilities, a high degree of attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. The Wealth intern must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment, be able to take initiative, and be comfortable taking on responsibility. The intern will learn work on alternative assets, including private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure. Tasks will include asset allocation, research/analysis of investments and implementation.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Work with the senior members of the team to understand clients’ investment objectives, risk tolerance and constraints in regard to private investments
- Help in the due diligence of alternative investments managers and selecting which investments to add to our platform
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to construct and implement investment solutions
- Analyze market data and identify patterns, trends and opportunities
- Develop and implement process improvements
- Minimum Education Required
- Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field.
- Enrolled as either a Sophomore, Junior or Senior with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and computer competencies, with an emphasis on quantitative analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel and Power Point skills to support data analysis
- Acute attention to detail and proofing
- Demonstrated initiative, a broad perspective, creativity, and good quantitative intuition
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of securities markets, products, behavior
