What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service: Cook position at Westwood Public Schools?
Job Description :
The Cook's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Arrive 5-10min before start of shift
- Maintain safe and sanitary food practices.
- Proper food labeling and rotation practices.
- Follow HACCP Guidelines.
- Reheating and holding temperatures and record keeping.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace when needed
- Breakfast line cook experience a plus
- Must be a team player and work well with others
- Assist Executive Chef by placing daily and weekly orders for individual school
- Maintain daily Production Records.
- Assist the Executive Chef in any way, to make sure meals are prepared and served as intended.
- Coordinate and produce lunches for the school at a high quality
- Use of batch cooking methods
- Coordinate with school nurse with meals for allergy related issues
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Responsible for records for meals served.
- Making sure meals qualify for a reimbursable meal.
Requirements :
Hours : Monday-Friday
7am-2 : 30pm (30hrs / week) (Subject to change as needs change)
