Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

WET is pushing the boundaries for manufacturing innovation. We are looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to help ensure that we are at the forefront of manufacturing technology as we continuously look for innovative ways to build new features that will be used in our many creations throughout the world.

Responsibilities:

• This position requires a flexible, hands-on Engineer who has the range and desire to explore various manufacturing process that includes: CNC Machining, Metal Fabrication, Plastic Injection Molding, Vacuum Forming, Welding, and SMT line
• Develop and standardize new processes for production readiness using advanced LEAN methods
• Periodically monitor and measure processes to ensure quality
• Design development tooling and oversee fabrication and implementation
• Develop capacity and schedule plans to take products from development to production
• Assist and develop PFMEA’s, Control Plans and Work Instructions
• Assist and lead process development teams
• Create standard work-order instructions
• Troubleshoot production process related issues
• Provide direction to technicians during production as necessary
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or similar technical area of focus (Years of experience will be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree)
• Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment supporting low volume/ high mix
  
  

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Preferred background working in a prototype job shop, custom automotive, or tooling manufacturing environment
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and/or hands-on experience
