Controller – Aerospace & Defense
Are you a strategic financial leader with a passion for the aerospace and defense industry? We’re looking for a Controller to lead our client's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with expertise in financial strategy, regulatory compliance, and leadership within the sector.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and auditing.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, industry regulations, and government contracting requirements.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support company growth and profitability.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and procurement to align financial goals with business strategies.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Implement and maintain robust accounting systems (SAP experience is a plus).
What You Bring
Required:
- CPA certification.
- 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a focus on defense/aerospace manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and industry-specific regulations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Preferred:
- MBA (Master of Business Administration).
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of government contracting and compliance (FAR, CAS, etc.).
