About the Team / Role
WEX Inc., is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Enterprise Application Programmer to join our growing Project & Agile Tooling team. In this role, you will be a key player in supporting and enhancing our enterprise service management platform, Jira Service Management (JSM). You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments, including Technology, Human Resources, and Facilities, to optimize processes, develop best practices, implement integrations, and drive the adoption of service management best practices.
How you'll make an impact
Administer and maintain Jira Service Management, including workflows, request types, and user management.
Design, develop, and implement custom solutions within Jira Service Management, including workflows, automation rules, custom fields, dashboards, and integrations
Develop and implement API integrations with other enterprise applications to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Gather requirements from stakeholders, analyze business needs, and translate them into effective service management solutions.
Establish and enforce best practices and standards for JSM
Provide support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and create knowledge base articles.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain service level agreements (SLAs).
Stay up-to-date on the latest ITSM, Atlassian, and Jira Service Management features and best practices.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise service management strategies.
Partner with and support Admins for other Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc)
Mentor junior team members and admins
Experience you'll bring
BS / BA degree in technical / information science or related field.
5 years of experience with software and solutions engineering.
Strong understanding of JSM and the Atlassian platform, or equivalent applications.
Ability to design and implement complex system integrations with various integration technologies and patterns, using best practices for security and performance.
Experience in working with different integration architectures.
Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders in Technology and the business; strong customer service orientation.
Proven experience with API integration and development.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong understanding of ITIL or other service management frameworks
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Experience with web-based applications and technologies.
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
