What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic position at Weyerhaeuser?
Our Idabel, Oklahoma Lumber Mill has an immediate opening for a Mobile Shop Mechanic. This is a full-time, hourly position that is a part of the site’s maintenance team. Our state-of-the-art mill produces high-quality lumber used for residential construction throughout the country. We are proud of our reputation for manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement!
Key Functions
- This position requires a sense of urgency in terms of maximizing production by troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical / electrical problems as well as performing preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Provide support for facility equipment and rolling stock (including vehicles, forklifts, and specialized heavy equipment) in a safe manner, while contributing to corporate, plant, and departmental goals.
- Collaborate with other team members, millwrights, and electricians to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical problems.
