Job Overview
The successful candidate will lead the log procurement operations team for manufacturing facilities in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. This leader will be a member of the raw materials and by-products lead team and report to the vice president of raw materials procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Exemplify and advance superior safety and environmental performance
- Establish strong working partnerships with all internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain current and develop potential new key supplier, customer, and contractor relationships
- Lead the integration excellence process with timberlands regions
- Collaborate with director of operations and planning and by-products manager on business development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in forestry or related field
- At least 10 years of applicable job experience
- Proactive safety leader with a demonstrated safety record and commitment to workplace safety culture
- Contract negotiation experience
- Ability to effectively work and communicate across organizational boundaries
