Production Position at Weyerhaeuser Company

We are seeking qualified candidates for a full-time entry-level production position at our Engineered Lumber Products (ELP) Manufacturing Facility in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

About the Role

This role offers a competitive starting wage of $19.24 per hour, along with Gainsharing bonus opportunities and benefits including 401K match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.

Key Functions:

• Operate manufacturing equipment that produces engineered lumber products.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance and clean-up on equipment.
• Work safely and effectively in a team environment.
• Solve problems and troubleshoot equipment and issues regularly.
• Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives.
• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to manage product flow.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure production of high-quality products.
• Complete shift paperwork and recordkeeping.
• Attend team meetings and regular training sessions.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Adequate documentation of employment history through resume or work experience.
• Two years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred).
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to work any shift assignment, including weekends and holidays.
• Willingsness to work a 12-hour shift.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to perform basic math and use computers.
• Successful completion of pre-employment testing process.
• Ability to work within a team setting.
• Willingsness to cross-train and learn new jobs and skills.
• Ability to perform physical job functions, including climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Willingsness to work in Natchitoches, LA without relocation assistance.
