Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate the forklift to move lumber
- Service the forklift as needed
- Conduct pre-shift inspections on forklifts before use
- Total commitment to working safely and following company/site rules
- Responsible for housekeeping in assigned areas
- Safe operation of equipment in assigned areas
- Interpreting work instructions and completing tasks delegated
- Safe start up and shut down of equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of prior forklift experience
- 1-2 years operating heavy mobile equipment
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work behaviors and practices
- Previous experience in an industrial environment preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math computer skills
- Able to perform all essential job functions of an industrial environment
- Flexible with schedule and able to work any shift
