Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Production Supervisor - Planer Mill for our lumber manufacturing facility in Dodson, LA. The Dodson mill is a dimensional lumber mill located in North Central, Louisiana. Sawmilling in Dodson has a rich history where it was home to the largest sawmill in the United States in 1900. It is located close to Ruston, LA, North Central Louisiana has great communities, outdoor scenic attractions, thriving arts, recreation and shopping.
The Production Supervisor - Planer Mill is responsible for direct supervision of a team of hourly employees. This includes the safety, production, and quality goals of our Planer Mill. The Production Supervisor is committed to continuous improvement in safety, cost management, process improvement, plant scheduling, production flows, staffing and housekeeping. Key Functions :
- Responsible for providing daily leadership and oversight of hourly production employees to ensure safe and efficient execution of work
- Ensure proper job and safety rules are followed
- Role model our Core Values (Safety, Integrity, Citizenship, Sustainability, and Inclusion) and People Principles (Appreciate, Respect, Listen, Communicate and Value) to foster a positive work environment, and ensure open communication among associates
- Lead safety and other team meetings
- Project needs and balance labor resources to ensure continuous improvement in safety, quality and production
- Set performance expectations for team that directly support the mill goals
- Active involvement in assigning work and evaluating job performance
- Support, coach, and provide timely feedback and direction to employees
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Weyerhaeuser, federal, state, and local laws, and regulations

Compensation : This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $68,400 - $102,600 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement : Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacation : We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3 weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year
