Job Summary
This entry-level production team member position is available at our Dierks, Arkansas Lumber facility. The successful candidate will support weekend shift operations and alternate swing shift working hours as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety rules and regulations.
- Clean the assigned production area by sweeping and removing debris.
- Operate equipment in assigned areas, feeding or placing items for processing, and removing items after processing.
- Interpret work instructions and successfully complete tasks as delegated.
- Participate in safe start-up and shut-down of equipment in assigned areas.
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills.
- Communicate with team members and leadership to ensure consistent information exchange.
- Maintain cleanliness according to COVID protocols at individual workstations at the end of each shift.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to work weekends (Friday through Sunday) and varied weeknight shifts.
- Availability to work swing shift.
- Willingness to work holidays per the site's schedule.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Documented steady work history.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work in extreme heat and cold.
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending.
- One year of employment experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of industrial experience.
- Experience operating forklifts or other mobile equipment.
