English Language Learner (ELL) Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Support for EL Students - Follows schedule to provide support to EL students as directed by classroom teacher and ELL Teacher
- Assist ELL and/or classroom teacher(s) to prepare supplementary materials, make photocopies, file paperwork, and translate documents using electronic translation services.
- Adapt classroom activities, assignments, and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives.
- Assists students with lesson assignments for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts.
- Attends meetings and in-service professional development as assigned for the purpose of acquiring and/or converting information relative to job functions.
- Demonstrates understanding of students’ language needs
- Demonstrates flexibility in schedule and activities throughout the day
- Demonstrates cooperation, openness for growth and willingness to contribute to a team approach
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all aspects of his/her work with children and other staff
Part-time position- 18 hours per week.

This is a grant funded position.
Qualifications:
* Associates degree or higher preferred
* Experience with students who are English language learners
Assignment is for remaining SY 2024-2025 - Pending Grant Funding
