Air Logistics Supervisor

Job Summary

The role of our Air Logistics Warehouse Supervisor involves directly supervising a busy team of Airport Logistics associates who move packages by hand and pushcart in and around our indoor / outdoor facility that is located on airport property. This is a roll up your sleeves job that supports a talented team of professionals who ensure packages arrive on time to destinations across the United States. This is a cross-dock operation; our role is to facilitate daily throughput of packages from aircraft to warehouse to trucks with no / minimal storage. Our indoor facility is an open-air environment and not temperature controlled, and you may work in or around aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the quantity and quality of work performance of assigned Air logistics personnel.
• Directs personnel within assigned functional area.
• Participates in the discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates; training subordinates.
• Maybe required to communicate with Airport Board officials and individual customers.
• Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards.
• Maintains and controls all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA requirements.
• Ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations and contractual agreements.
• Reads, understands and clarifies the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge.
• Administers practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect.
