Job Summary
The Director, IT Program Management is responsible for planning and delivering world-class enterprise technology solutions necessary to achieve business initiatives as defined by senior leadership. The Director is responsible to set the static direction for the IT landscape and responsible for providing strategic project planning and management for established IT programs and initiatives within the organization.
Responsibilities
Coordinate actions to ensure delivery of complex projects and initiatives both in the business applications and IT Infrastructure.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining IT PMO methodology operating model.
Work closely with SVP IT to establish annual IT budget and the technology roadmap.
Work closely with business stakeholder to prioritize and resource projects.
Manage IT Programs third party vendors including creating RFPs, reviewing SOWs, reviewing agreements / contracts, and payment plans.
Research and evaluate hardware, software and cloud technology options and weigh the cost / benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the company.
Ensure alignment on scope, key value drivers, and critical outcomes for all programs and initiatives.
Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
Responsible for customer satisfaction, leadership, overall performance, schedule, and cost of all IT Programs.
Capture and Report program metrics to SVP of IT and Enterprise PMO
Manage large complex IT Projects.
Builds a strong network and collaborates across the organization.
Defines communications plans and maintain excellent overall communications across the organization for enterprise projects in conjunction with Enterprise PMO.
Recommend best solutions based on understanding of business issues
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 7 years’ IT Project Management experience
PMP certification
Certification and / or knowledge in Lean, Program and / or Project Management, and Agile methods highly desirable
Ability to travel up to 25%
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of degree.
Preferred Skills
Significant knowledge and experience with project management methodologies, strategies, processes and project financial management, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity & Enterprise Applications
Managerial experience building and motivating teams to deliver IT Programs.
Experience hiring skilled staff, creating job descriptions, interviewing, and onboarding.
Ability to effectivity present project updates with a firm understanding of dependencies, scope, cost, and milestones.
Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and leading teams.
Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Leads and directs work of others who may or may not directly report to the position but whose input and cooperation are critical to the success of assigned projects or programs.
