Job Summary
The Flight Turnaround Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities during aircraft turnaround to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant operation. This role ensures adherence to federal and international regulations while supporting ground personnel to maintain safety and operational excellence.
Rate of Pay : $15.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Coordinate all activities during aircraft turnaround to ensure compliance with the Turnaround Plan and safety regulations.
Conduct aircraft arrival and departure visual inspections and complete required checklists.
Monitor and enforce compliance with safety procedures for all turnaround personnel.
Report and document all incidents, accidents, and irregularities, including airline-required paperwork.
Confirm with the Ramp Supervisor that loading is complete and aircraft holds are clear.
Communicate applicable flight information to the Captain and allocate delay reason codes as necessary.
Manage any disruptions to the Turnaround Plan and ensure smooth coordination.
Complete CLC planning, Movement of Aircraft reports, and all relevant flight reports.
Adhere to WFS site security protocols, remaining aware of staff, contractors, and visitors while reporting any security concerns.
Minimum Requirements
Previous experience in flight operations or ground handling
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong leadership, communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
Ability to multitask and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with the ability to complete checklists and paperwork accurately.
Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must have and maintain valid US driver’s license
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
Preferred Skills
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in aviation, logistics, or a related field
Leadership experience in airport or aviation environments.
Familiarity with aircraft ground support equipment and operations.
Knowledge of flight operations and safety protocols.
Additional certifications in aircraft handling, safety, or aviation security
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs consistently.
Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow.
Ability to work in a high-noise environment with proper hearing protection.
Must be able to climb, reach, and work in confined spaces as required.
Ability to remain on your feet for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
