Job Summary
The Contract Manager oversees daily operations, ensuring optimal use of equipment, facilities, and personnel to meet organizational goals. This role involves close collaboration with airport management, upper management, and customers, while managing and motivating staff to achieve excellence. The Contract Manager is responsible for reviewing operational and financial reports to drive profitability, recommending improvements, and ensuring compliance with corporate security programs and TSA regulations. Additionally, they manage vendor contracts, enforce company policies, and ensure that safety, security, and customer satisfaction standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities
The Contract Manager plans, directs, and coordinates, through subordinate personnel, activities to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities, and personnel.
Consults with airport management.
Manages and motivates location personnel.
Confers and cooperates with upper management in formulating administrative and policies and procedures.
Liaison with company's customers, overseeing staff, planning Job scheduling projects and overseeing sales
Analyzes records of daily operations to maintain knowledge of station activities.
Reviews and analyzes expenditures, financial and operations reports to determine requirements for increasing profits.
Prepares recommendations on findings for upper management evaluation.
Recommends capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment which would increase efficiency and services.
Approves requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within limits of facility budget.
Enforces compliance of personnel with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations.
Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation.
Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times.
Read, understand and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all Oxford staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge.
Directs investigations into cause of internal and external complaints relating to the facility.
May negotiate contracts with equipment and materials suppliers.
Responsible for implementation of a station management system, ensuring safety and security in station operations, and proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards.
Minimum Requirements
HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule for a 24 / 7 operation including nights, weekends, and / or holidays.
Background check and drug screen required.
Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge.
Must have a minimum of two (2) years' documented training and / or job experience in leading a team in the areas of welding, machinery, diesel mechanic, electrical and / or pneumatics.
Aptitude for mathematics and science.
Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
Good IT and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
Attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Good organization skills.
Ability to read and work from diagrams as required.
Preferred Skills
Experience using computer software.
Experience working with scanners
Ability to manage and motivate personnel.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, and / or boards of directors.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Employees work in the assured management areas of baggage, at repair stations, or at airfields and often must meet strict deadlines to maintain flight schedules.
Employees will be working with and exposed to the baggage handling system, mechanical parts, and vibration.
Employees may be exposed to various noise levels due to aircraft engines and equipment.
Employees bend, lean, and frequently reach ladders and scaffolding.
Employees are required to regularly speak and hear.
Employees are often required to reach with their hands and arms.
Employees may be required to perform a variety of activities that could include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing throughout their day.
Employees frequently lift and / or move items over 50 pounds with the help of teammates.
Employees will lift parts and tools for long periods of time and handle equipment such as transportation systems.
