In this position you will be responsible for managing and supporting the accounting for the company and will also be responsible for project work.

Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure there is redundant process backup in place for every critical function
- Implement and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closing schedules to meet deadlines
- Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expense Reporting and Payroll staff
- Supervise the bi-weekly payroll submittal process
- Perform daily banking activity and prepare weekly cash flow analysis
- Oversee and approve check runs, expense report disbursements and positive pay uploads
- Lead the monthly financial reporting process
- Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the account process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability
- Lead the schedule preparation for the year-end financial statement and indirect rate audits
- Mentor and develop staff members and utilize features in ERP system to optimize processes
- Provide ad hoc analysis of financial data for operations management leaders as needed
- Support the budget and forecasting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5 years of experience in accounting management of a professional services firm;
- 2 years of experience in payroll oversight;
- Current working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP);
- Expertise with FAR overhead audits;
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems and controls;
- Experience with BST preferred;
- Experience creating, coordinating and achieving goals through a team of professionals;
- Excellent computer and communication skills, both verbal and written.
