Overview
We are seeking Engineer - Civil/Structural with 3-5 years of experience to be part of our Buildings team in the West Palm Beach, FL office.
In this position, you will assist in the development of Structural Engineering design projects, both vertical and horizontal, for clients public and private sectors. The candidate will work in a fast-paced engineering environment working on a multitude of projects from Mixed-use, multi-family, hospitality, or commercial buildings to infrastructure projects such as Seawalls and piers. Responsibilities
- Provide drawings and/or sketches for designs to be incorporated into construction documents by the BIM team
- Review shop drawings and submittals
- Coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, MEP, Civil, etc
- Learn and use structural analysis and BIM software
- Attend and participate in project meetings
- Conduct structural observations and prepare associated observation reports
- General willingness to learn through over-the-shoulder training with direct supervisors, continuing education meetings, professional organization involvement, and technical documentation reading
- Capable of executing projects in a fast-paced environment, and enthusiasm for working with a high performing team
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Master's degree preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience
- Licensed PE preferred, EIT Required
- Knowledgeable with RISA, MathCAD, TEKLA preferred
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and work on large multi-discipline engineering teams
- Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills
