Schedule: Day or Night compressed shift (12 hours), must be open to either shift
Pay Rate: $26.00 - $30.00 / hr. DOE
Location: Siler City, NC

The principal duties and responsibilities will be:

• Maintain and operate all chemical and gas delivery equipment. Understand how the mechanical portion of the equipment works, identify individual components included in each assembly, and perform non-invasive preventive maintenance.
• Installation, start-up, commissioning of gas and chemical equipment
• Perform daily rounds including verifying purifier set points, recording readings, calibrating analytical equipment, completing safety surveys, monitoring inventory levels, and verifying monitoring systems.
• Maintain product inventories and support logistics management
• Perform gas and chemical containers change outs.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Previous experience with commissioning gas and chemical equipment
• AA or military equivalent
• 2 Year(s) of experience in facility maintenance or Equipment Technician Roles, or in a mechanical or electronic environment
• Able to wear a full facemask (SCBA) respirator as needed for specific gas or chemical change outs

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in confined areas in a clean room environment
• May walk over five miles a day throughout the site and occasionally climb ladders
• A full gown and clean room procedures must be adhered to
• In some cases, technicians must put on Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator while working with chemicals (approximately 10-15 minutes).
• Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds
• May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing
• Will require the use of Personal Protection Equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents, high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
