Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Key Account Manager to join our dynamic, high-performing Sales Account Management team in New York or LA.

In this role, you will embed yourself into the customer teams and act as a resource to help them grow their business. As these are existing accounts, the aim is to get our customers to renew their accounts and grow across our different product offerings.

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing a book of growth and strategic accounts and finding consultancy and account development opportunities amongst key clients in EMEA.

This role is responsible for dealing with contract renewals, identifying business opportunities, building key prospect relationships, negotiating and closing business deals and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The Key Account Manager will use a consultative sales style to create, implement and manage a strategy to help achieve our ambitious sales goals.

The team

We have a high performing sales team who are diverse and based all over the US. The team has worked incredibly hard over the past year to achieve outstanding results. You will be joining this integral team where support, learning and team spirit will allow you to settle comfortably into the role and grow.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage annual contract renewals, identify business opportunities, build key prospect relationships, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions
  • Identify and close new opportunities from an assigned book of accounts - drive all aspects and stages of the sale including; qualifying the viability of potential sales, delivering winning presentations, contract negotiations, legal and procurement discussions and managing the sales process through to its close
  • Meet/exceed monthly KPI quotas on a consistent basis
  • Manage a high volume book of accounts to ensure the customer is delighted with the WGSN service (and successfully executing the renewal of the client contracts); maintain renewal rates
  • Deliver presentations and assist in telling our story and pitching the WGSN value as it relates to each prospect in all industry markets including; Fashion, Beauty, Food & Drink, Interiors, Consumer Tech

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required

  • A strong sales and account management background
  • Experience within a KPI / target driven environment
  • Experience developing relationships with executives within Fortune 500 organizations in an Outside Sales B2B capacity in the US market and renewing a book of business
  • A demonstrable track record of sales success (preferably selling subscription based-products)
  • Understanding of how to communicate a service offering through proposals, presentations, phone calls and case study development - excellent presentation and negotiation skills are a must
  • Salesforce based CRM experience a plus
  • Ability to manage Salesforce databases, opportunity pipeline and lead cultivation, including a holistic overview of all outstanding communications and prospect relationships
