What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lowboy/Flatbed Hauler position at Whaley Construction?
At Whaley Construction, we are seeking a skilled and experienced CDL A driver to operate our lowboy and flatbed equipment. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment and materials safely and efficiently from one location to another.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for doubles/triples and tank vehicles. You must have a clean driving record and a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate. In addition to your driving skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
You will work closely with our operations team to ensure that all shipments are delivered on time and within budget. This may involve working extended hours, including weekends and holidays, and being able to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, has strong attention to detail, and can work well under pressure. Experience with loading and unloading equipment and materials is a plus, but we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
