Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, demonstrating proficiency in legal drafting and research, with some experience in the courtroom. This role involves various aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and child support. The Family Law Attorney shall be able to handle 40 caseload efficiently while maintaining compliance with legal standards.
Responsibilities
- Preparing for court hearings, trials, and client meetings.
- Draft legal documents such as petitions, motions, and agreements related to family law cases.
- Conduct legal research using tools like Lexis-Nexis to gather relevant case law and statutes.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
- Prepare discovery requests and responses, as well as manage deadlines for filings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an attorney or in a similar role within family law.
- Strong knowledge of family law principles and procedures.
- Proficient in legal drafting and writing skills.
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
