Supports members of the tax accounting team in checking, verification, basic analysis and processing general ledger account entries. Aids the team with administrative functions for tax-related work efforts to meet operational and organizational goals.

Responsibilities :
Assists in gathering data and preparing sales and use tax workpapers.
Assists in preparing sales and use tax pre-payments and returns.
Records transactions in the general ledger.
Gathers information required for research, reviews and reconciles general ledger accounts.
Assists with state unclaimed property obligations.
Assists with multiple state sales and use tax inquiries (including audits), permit application, tax rate maintenance, research, issue resolution, etc.
Keeps management apprised of outstanding issues or concerns that may affect the department or the company's financials.
Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education :
High school diploma / GED equivalent or equivalent work experience
Experience :
No experience necessary
Experience in handling multiple administrative tasks
Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, vendors and co-workers and foster a team environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Ability to communicate well with the general public
Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Visio (as applicable)
Proficiency in Workday (as applicable)
Working Conditions / Travel Requirements :
Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities
Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational / business needs
Must be able to work a full-time schedule and work outside of normal business hours when necessary
Some travel, both locally and long distances, (including air travel), to worksites, meeting sites, and other locations may be necessary
