Summary
Whatcom County Public Works is recruiting for the position of Accounting Supervisor. The Accounting Supervisor position leads the day-to-day operations of the Public Works accounting office. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively handle multiple priorities and deadlines. Key duties include :
- Overseeing financial operations in a multi-fund environment.
- Assisting in the preparation of the department budget and monitoring expenditures.
- Providing monthly reporting
- Assisting managers and supervisors with monitoring of budget to actual expenditures.
- Monitoring and assuring compliance with grants and contracts.
- Preparing year end reporting to funding sources including State of Washington BARS
- Coordinating with the Finance Department on the annual audit
- Supervising Public Works accounting staff
Supervisor : Public Works Financial Services Manager
Hours of Work : Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

Salary Range :

Hiring rate depends on qualifications. This position receives annual pay increases to the next step in the associated salary range (apx. 3.8%) subject to satisfactory performance, in addition to any negotiated Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA).

Do you have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or a related field?
