We are seeking a passionate School Psychologist to join our team and support elementary students in reaching their full potential.
Job Summary:
The School Psychologist will provide psychological services, assessments, and interventions to support students' academic, behavioral, and emotional needs. They will work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological and psychoeducational assessments to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
Develop and implement intervention plans to support students' academic and emotional well-being.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
Provide counseling and social-emotional support for students individually or in small groups.
Support crisis intervention efforts and provide guidance during emergencies.
Lead professional development sessions for teachers and staff on mental health and student support strategies.
Stay up to date with best practices in school psychology and educational psychology.
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
Valid Massachusetts School Psychologist Certification/Licensure.
Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), positive behavioral interventions, and special education laws (IDEA, Section 504).
Compensation:As per current Union #38 Teacher Contract
