Role
The Policy team at Whatnot develops guidelines to ensure a safe and trustworthy buying and selling experience. We're hiring a data-driven Policy Strategy and Operations Manager to support and develop rules that instill trust in our platform.
You will support the policy strategy for Whatnot, establishing comprehensive listening systems to identify emerging trends, prioritize areas of focus, and evaluate the efficacy of existing policies :
- Identify and collect relevant data to inform policy gaps and problem areas and decide when revisions and overhauls are needed.
- Implement accurate and effective policy together with the product and operations teams.
- Resolve complex policy escalations with a high degree of autonomy.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop new policies and enforcement criteria and bring them to market.
Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, or San Francisco, CA hubs.

As our Policy Strategy and Operations Manager, you should have 5 years of experience in a policy, strategy, or business operations role, plus :
Compensation
For Full-Time (Salary) US-based applicants : $160,000 / year to $190,000 / year benefits equity.
The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below) or equity.
