ROLE
WHC Energy Services (WHC) – A Surerus Murphy Company, is seeking a Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship Administrator. This role supports operations to ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking, reporting, and managing wage data to ensure accurate and timely project delivery. This role requires daily verification, collaboration with field staff, and comprehensive data analysis to support apprenticeship/project requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with field teams to understand labor needs by Trade Classification.
- Plan and communicate manpower requirements based on project timelines.
- Review and correct Trade Codes in field documentation and payroll systems.
- Assist in producing and reconciling Certified Payrolls.
- Develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with apprenticeship and payroll requirements.
- Upload and review project data with owners.
- Perform pre-project tasks, including wage surveys, wage conformance, and subcontractor onboarding.
- Support auditing of records for compliance with IRS or project owner requirements.
- Stay informed on changes in prevailing wage laws and regulations, including those specific to IRA projects, and implement necessary updates to compliance processes.
Note: In addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the company.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
Experience
- Experience in data analysis and document management preferred.
- Prior experience working with an apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
- Understanding of prevailing wage laws, and IRA-specific regulations is considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.
- Proficient in Excel, including formula creation for productivity.
- Ability to handle confidential information with care.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is office based and works out of the Broussard, LA office. Occasional travel to project sites is required.

The Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship Administrator reports to the Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship Manager.
