This position needs a strong and enthusiastic person whose responsibility is to work with drivers and staff to ensure everyone in the company complies with health and safety laws. You will be responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace.
As a Driver Safety Manager you must have excellent attention to detail. You will be able to discover opportunities for improving conditions and execute various safety programs. The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential. The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.

Responsibilities of a Driver Safety Manager :
Oversee regional implementation of corporate health and safety programs, policies, and proceduresDevelop and execute safety plans in the workplace in accordance with federal, state, local, and corporate guidelinesMake risk assessments and evaluate practices, processes, and facilities to assess risk and bring deficiencies to the attention of local management and the corporate VP of SafetyAssist VP of Safety with preparation of SOPs specific to the Nevada RegionEnforce policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations to establish a culture of safetyConduct presentations for safety matters and accident preventionMonitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting drivers and operationsInvestigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and coach driversRecommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measuresReport on safety awareness, issues and statisticsQualifications of a Driver Safety Manager :
Able to work collaboratively with regional General Managers, OSHA, FMCSA, FTA, local committees and representatives, and the Corporate COO and VP of SafetyIs self-directed and able to organize work, set priorities and achieve work-related objectives and goalsProven experience as a safety coordinator / managerDeep understanding of legal health and safety guidelinesAbility to produce reports and develop relevant policiesGood knowledge of data analysis and risk assessmentExcellent organizational and motivational skillsOutstanding attention to detail and observation abilityExceptional communication and interpersonal abilitiesBSc / BA in safety management or relevant field is preferredJob Type : Full-time
Pay : $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
