About the Role
As a Haven Operator at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in safely operating forklifts, Haven equipment, and other assigned tasks. You will be responsible for equipment setup, troubleshooting, material supply, and ensuring the overall functionality of the Haven operation. This role is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Shift: 6 AM - 4 PM or 6 PM - 4 AM

- Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
- Coordinate with internal and external departments as necessary.
- Perform setups, operational checks, and visual inspections of recut and swage.
- Monitor product quality to meet standards.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Train other employees as assigned by Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Make minor maintenance adjustments to machines when trained and instructed by Supervisor.
- Prior experience operating a Haven machine.
- Forklift operating experience is required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
- Ability to measure tube dimensions using tape and gauges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Visual acuity to read and record weights and numbers accurately.
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands, handle materials, and reach with hands and arms.
- Capability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push, and pull.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Work in a manufacturing/industrial environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
- Work environment noise level is typically loud.
- Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role.
