Job Description
Wheaton College invites applications for part time Guest Instructor or Guest Assistant Professor in Physics or Engineering for the 2024-25 academic year.
The successful candidate will teach either one lecture or 1-2 labs in the undergraduate physics or engineering major curriculum. We seek applicants with a M.S. or Ph. D. in Physics, Astronomy, Engineering or a closely related field, who will engage a diverse student body with an active-learning model that challenges and supports each student. Previous teaching experience, including experience with evidence-based curricula and hands-on laboratory instruction, is highly valued. The ability to mentor physics and engineering majors and general education students in the integration of Christian faith with the life of the mind and the practice of physics and engineering is also an important component of this position.
The position pays $935 per credit hour for an MA with fewer than 3 years of experience teaching at Wheaton, and $1224 per credit hour for a PhD or emeritus faculty member.
