The Systems Analyst is a key Administrative Information Services Team member, providing crucial support to the college's administrative staff, junior Team members, and division systems managers. This role is instrumental in leveraging technologies to achieve organizational goals and business objectives.
As part of a dynamic, self-directed team of seven members, this role contributes to the operation and enhancement of various critical systems, including : Banner, WINDOW , Experience, Ethos, DataConnect, WebFOCUS, intranet portal, SnapLogic integrations, JAMS job scheduler, Evisions, College's Identity management system.
This position plays a vital role in delivering direct services and support to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring the seamless integration of technology across the college's administrative functions.
The Systems Analyst's expertise is essential in optimizing these systems to meet the evolving needs of the institution. As such the Systems Analyst :
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert, providing technical solutions for critical Banner systems.
- Designs, modifies, tests, and implements programs for development projects, while maintaining detailed technical documentation.
- Ensures quality and consistency by following and improving coding standards.
- Collaborates with customers on product analysis and design.
- Develops and enforces best practices for application integration.
- Leads and supports the college's job scheduler, JAMS , ensuring efficient operation and continuous improvement.
- Provides technical support to junior Administrative Team members and functional office staff, including systems managers and reporting teams, by assisting with programming, operational issues, and data structures.
- Collaborates with AIS staff to help Wheaton administrative teams apply IT solutions to their business needs.
- Facilitates data sharing and assists users with Banner administrative modules, including report generation, letter creation, and file manipulation.
- Analyzes customer business problems to deliver efficient solutions using available software and hardware.
- Collaborates with the Database Administrator to ensure data integrity, consistency, and reduce redundancy.
- Creates and maintains documentation for Banner and Wheaton-developed programs, adhering to current standards for administrative systems.
- Create and maintain program and operational documentation for Banner and Wheaton-developed applications, following current documentation standards.
- Stay updated on Banner and application development trends through seminars, training, and professional associations.
- Apply technology insights to business needs and long-term planning.

When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitment ranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level and scope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.
The anticipated hiring or recruitment range for this position is $85,000 - $90,000.
