Summary:
As the Videographer/Editor, you’ll be given exceptional creative control over the execution and strategy of the editing process, with the understanding that we expect innovation, self-motivation, and ownership behind the videos you work on. An ideal candidate will be highly-motivated and entrepreneurial, with extreme attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Capture live-action, high quality footage during basic to mid-level to high-level video capture sessions; by serving as camera operator/director of photography along with operating lighting and sound recording devices
- Assemble and edit recorded raw material into live-action videos geared toward a young consumer demographic
- Use Adobe Premiere to craft engaging content from original footage with tight turnaround times
- Implement motion graphics (using After Effects) for most videos
- Polish projects with titles, color correction, and sound mixing
- Keep projects meticulously organized and labeled properly
- Revise the videos after receiving internal and client feedback
- Makes suggestions to other team members to improve their edits
- Develop editorial standards that improve the content across the department
Requirements:
- A current reel that conveys both technical ability and creative thought. Please provide a brief description about what you did for each segment provided for evaluation
- A strong sense of current camera and audio equipment especially Sony and Go Pro products
- After Effects knowledge includes proficiency in keyframing, animating text, using expressions, working with track mattes and shapes, and using basic virtual camera controls
- Ability to work creatively under quick turnaround times
- Technical Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Skilled in ideation and translating scripts into captivating visuals
- Must be able to give and receive critical feedback in a small team environment
- Passion for storytelling, strong sense of humor and a grasp on current pop culture
- 3 years of relevant experience
