Regional NEMT Trainer
Position Overview:
The Regional Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Trainer is responsible for overseeing and delivering training programs for NEMT drivers and staff within a designated region. This role ensures that all team members are properly trained on safety, operational protocols, and best practices, ensuring high standards in transportation for patients with medical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for new and existing NEMT drivers.
- Provide ongoing education to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and HIPAA requirements.
- Review and reinforce company policies on patient transport, customer service, and emergency response.
- Assess the performance of NEMT drivers and provide corrective training as necessary.
- Develop training materials and resources to support driver onboarding and continuous education.
- Collaborate with regional and local management teams to identify training needs and improve operational efficiencies.
- Stay up to date on any changes in NEMT-related regulations and adjust training programs as needed.
- Maintain records of training sessions, certifications, and driver progress.
- Ensure drivers are familiar with the use of technology for trip scheduling, GPS navigation, and communication tools.
