Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Location : Memphis, TN
Pay : $20–$29 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus : $5,000
Call Requirement : yes
Must live within 30 minutes driving distance to the hospital.
Shifts Available :
Day and Night Shifts (Four 10-hour shifts per week).
Position Summary
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) to join our surgical team. The Surgical Technologist plays a critical role in supporting the surgical team by ensuring all necessary equipment, instrumentation, and supplies are prepared and available for each procedure. This position is vital to maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring seamless operations in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
Set up and organize operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies based on case requirements.
Scrub in and assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
Prepare and pull surgical cases as needed, ensuring all items are accounted for before and after procedures.
Break down and clean operating rooms post-procedure, ensuring readiness for subsequent cases.
Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to needs during surgery.
Assist in preparing the operating room schedule and supplies for the following day.
Participate in the on-call schedule as required to support unit needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors to meet departmental needs.
Qualifications
Education :
Required : Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program as mandated by state regulations or hospital policy. Experience :
Preferred : At least 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist. Certifications :
Required : Current BLS certification.
Preferred : Surgical Technology Certification.
