Growth Officer, UC San Diego
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $75K–$85K (Quarterly share bonuses, no guarantee)
Location: UC San Diego Campus
Other Locations: UCLA, UC Irvine
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days on campus/in office, 2 days work from home
Additional Expectations: Some evenings and weekends for campus events (basketball, football games)
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Growth Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for building and nurturing relationships within the university community to drive business growth and engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience in credit unions or financial services and a strong ability to connect with university partners and members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business plans aligned with company goals, using data to fuel growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with university partners and execute contracts to maximize engagement.
- Attend university events to promote products and services.
- Understand partner contracts and leverage assets to identify new opportunities.
- Provide financial education workshops (in-person and virtual) to enhance awareness and engagement.
- Conduct outreach through calls, emails, and site visits to foster relationships and increase membership.
- Collaborate with internal business units to create customized programs for university stakeholders.
- Promote financial wellness and member benefits through a consultative approach.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, outreach efforts, and events.
- Actively participate in growth team initiatives and share insights to enhance strategies.
- Support fellow Growth Officers in on-campus events, advisory center activities, and training programs.
- Stay informed on financial services trends and competitor offerings.
- Ensure a clean, professional, and secure work environment at assigned locations.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in marketing, sales, or business-related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in business development, preferably in a credit union, banking, or financial services environment.
- Understanding of financial sector operations and marketing processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- Self-motivated, independent thinker with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Must complete CCUFC certification training within six months of hire.
