Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Director of Business Development – Hospice Sales for our client in Chicago, IL . This role involves both in-office and field responsibilities , overseeing a large territory that includes two key branches in Rosemont and Lombard, IL . The Director will lead a team of 10 Hospice Sales Consultants , driving growth through client visits, consultant ride-alongs, and strategic sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and mentor a team of 10 Hospice Sales Consultants , ensuring sales performance goals are met.
Conduct ride-alongs with consultants to observe client interactions and provide coaching.
Build and maintain relationships with key referral sources, healthcare providers, and clients .
Oversee territory-wide sales efforts , ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Develop and implement strategic growth plans , leveraging sales data and market trends.
Partner with the Regional Vice President (RVP) and Executive Leadership to improve market reputation and sales outcomes.
Represent the company at networking events, community meetings, and industry conferences . Qualifications :
Hospice Sales leadership experience required (preferred background : Director of Sales for Hospice).
Open to candidates from Home Health Sales with some Hospice or Long-Term Care experience .
Multi-site sales experience required (not limited to a single facility).
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required .
Strong ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must reside within Central Chicago or no more than 45 minutes – 1 hour outside of the city (commuting constraints apply). This is an excellent leadership opportunity for a seasoned hospice sales professional looking to drive growth in a high-impact, multi-site sales role .
