Compensation : $100,000 - $120,000 5% Bonus (Manager Level AIP)
Work Model : Primarily Remote, with Onsite Meetings as Needed
Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a SQL Data Engineer for our client in Addison, TX . This role focuses on data ingestion, transformation, and pipeline management while working with healthcare and financial datasets. Candidates must be local to DFW , as they may need to attend occasional onsite meetings.

Candidates may be required to complete a SQL assessment during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities
Profile and analyze data from multiple sources and data types.
Build and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines for data ingestion and loading.
Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues , implementing corrective actions.
Develop and maintain SQL transformations, stored procedures, tables, and views .
Standardize reporting objects, data, and logic at the database layer .
Collaborate with teams to optimize processes and streamline workflows .
Ensure proper documentation of definitions, metrics, and data structures.
Adopt agile methodologies , track deliverables, and communicate progress effectively.
Identify opportunities for improvement and automation .
Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand data needs.
Qualifications
4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst .
4 years working with SQL Server or other relational databases .
Experience building ETL pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF), Airbyte, Informatica, etc.
Expertise in SQL and data analysis .
Experience with healthcare or financial data is preferred .
Strong understanding of data relationships and analytical skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate across multiple teams .
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
Preferred Experience
Exposure to cloud data systems (Snowflake).
Experience with modern ELT tools (DBT).
Familiarity with EDI files (835, 837, 277, HL7, FHIR, X12, etc.) .
