POSITION SUMMARY The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN) functions as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and contributes to the team and applies to the treatment of client's the psychiatric and related skills acquired through the training and/or experience required for this position. They may provide services within one or more Wheeler Clinic program(s), and the relative concentration between and within programs may change with the needs of the clinic.    Other staff include: Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, assigned Medical Assistants, Care Management staff, front desk staff and behavioral health staff.   Other staff include: Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, assigned Medical Assistants, Care Management staff, front desk staff and behavioral health staff. Genoa Pharmacy and Quest Laboratory on site.  Full Time salary of $118,000-$140,000 based on years of experience Up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus available!    LOCATION  Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in Waterbury, CT. Demonstrates knowledge of psychopathology and other behavioral health concerns and effective modalities of psychotherapeutic intervention. Triages clinical emergencies and implements program specific safety and consultation protocols. Utilizes best practices and evidenced based practice models where appropriate and adheres to model and program expectations.  Demonstrates knowledge of internal and external levels of care, referral processes and resources. Makes clinically appropriate referrals for identified service needs in a timely manner.  Communicates in a positive, effective manner with client, family, and all internal and external providers. Attends any required meetings and supervision.   Meets direct service productivity goals as defined by program. Demonstrates knowledge of program/department/agency goals and target outcomes, and adheres to practice standards and to data collection and reporting protocols.   Documents all client related information in compliance with agency policy.   Attends and is prepared for scheduled supervision. Seeks additional supervision or consultation as needed and follows through with supervisory directives.  Provides service in the office and/or community settings outside of the office (e.g., homes, schools, hospitals, institutions, other community locations) as defined by the program.
