Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires the ability to handle heavy lifting and manual tasks. The Delivery Driver will operate truck with trailer and may also be required to use a forklift in warehouse settings.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required.
- Operate a truck safely, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
- Handle heavy lifting of items as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus; certification may be required.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation skills is essential.
- Capable of performing heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
