Job Overview
Energetic candidate sought for the Resident Opportunities Supportive Services program, a grant-funded position. Must have experience working with senior citizens and linking them with social service programs, developing opportunities for living enrichment, and facilitating programs to enhance independent living. Basic Duties
- Develop and implement programs based on the HUD Resident Opportunity Supportive Services program for elderly and disabled persons within our high rise buildings.
- Requires close working relationship with public housing manager and resident leadership.
- Requires oversight of the Resident Council function.
- Performs assessments and determines strategies to maintain independent living status for residents.
- Provides a wide variety of linkages to agencies.
- Conducts outreach to expand services to residents.
Experience
- Proven experience in program development and management within social work or related fields.
- Grant reporting and writing experience required.
- Direct human services deliver programs or case management, required.
- Knowledge of supportive services for low-income elderly and disabled individuals.
- Experience advocating for individuals who need social services.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.50 per hour
