What will you do?
- Turn greyhounds out on a daily basis
- Assist with screening adoption applicants
- Clean and disinfect kennels and kennel areas regularly
- Oversee the health of each greyhound including dispensing medications and bathing
- Monitor groups of dogs while in a play group to ensure the safety of pets
More about you
- No high school diploma or GED required
- Experience working in an environment with large dogs of varied temperaments, preferably in a kennel setting
- Able to determine when a dog may be in need of medical attention
- Organized with the ability to maintain schedules, appointments, and competing priorities
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift a greyhound and materials weighing up to 80 pounds
- Long-term standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors with varying weather conditions
