The opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is hosting a Dealer Training School for individuals interested in becoming a Table Games Dealer at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Dealer Training School participant, you will gain table game dealer knowledge, develop math and technical skills, and learn how to start an exciting career as a Table Games Dealer.
Classes will start on March 3rd and end on April 25th. Days will be Monday through Friday from 6pm-10pm.
(If we get enough interest we will also have a second class from 2pm-6pm.)
*Average pay is around $25.00 an hour after completion of the class.

What will you do?
As a Dealer in Training you will be responsible to learn:
- Basic understanding of the gaming industry
- How to shuffle and place cards
- How to cut gaming chips, exchange currency for gaming chips, and identify chip denominations
- Rack maintenance
- Hand recognition
- Payouts and odds for each game
- How to determine game rule winners and losers
- How to control the pace of the game
- How to develop proper game security skills
- How to protect the integrity of games through observation and by following appropriate procedures
- How to identify unusual play habits
More about you
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to obtain a state gaming license
- Ability to attend off-sitetraining and receive the applicable training certificates
- Mathematical skills to solve equations
- Exceptional guest service skills
Physical requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods up to 3 hours and walk long distances
- Hand and finger dexterity
- Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs occasionally
- Ability to pass a color recognition test
