Delaware North Gaming is hiring a Director of Food and Beverage to join the team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $84,200 – $113,700 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. What will you do?
- Train, develop, and lead associates across the food and beverage teams.
- Motivate associates and and ensure they follow company guidelines when providing customer service to guests.
- Establish and maintain safety and sanitation procedures; ensure proper repair and maintenance of food service equipment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations regarding the sale of alcohol, OSHA, payroll, and employment guidelines.
- Determine and control staffing levels in an effort to maximize net returns while maintaining guest service levels.
- Verify, prepare, and submit reports and monthly projections as required as well as ensure effective systems for cash, inventory, and payroll procedures are in place.
- Develop strategic and innovative revenue-generating concepts; be knowledgeable of industry-related trends.
- Communicate and work with the management team to ensure food and beverage departments run efficiently and provide quality products.
More about you
- Minimum of 7 years of high-volume food and beverage management experience
- Must possess strong communication and listening skills.
- Working knowledge of various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and employees with high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
- Established assessment and decision-making skills with proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills. Ability to set priorities, organize time, demonstrate initiative, and work independently.
- High energy with effective and influential people skills. Positive attitude and the desire to motivate others.
- Previous experience in large-scale hospitality or related industry preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or equivalent subject preferred.
