Responsibilities:
- Execute in-game promotions and events including but not limited to: pre-game and postgame promotions, and on-field contests
- Interact with the crowd, leading cheers, chants, and fan participation activities to keep the energy level high throughout the game.
- Report to Game Operations Manager and work closely with PA Announcer and music staff to ensure production runs smoothly
- Bring a creative mind to the role to keep the Nailers entertainment fresh and exciting
- Seamlessly incorporate sponsor messages and promotions into the in-game entertainment experience, maintaining a balance between engaging content and commercial messaging.
Qualifications:
- Must have strong knowledge of hockey; including rules and players and have the ability to work with the game day staff, referees, mascots and statisticians.
- Must feel comfortable being on camera and talking to large crowds on a microphone.
- Hosting or Entertainment Experience: Previous experience as an event host, emcee, or in a similar role with a focus on live entertainment.
- Enthusiasm: High energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for engaging with fans and creating a fun atmosphere.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to connect with a diverse audience.
- Crowd Engagement: Ability to read and respond to the energy of the crowd, adjusting the level of engagement accordingly.
- Team Player: Collaborative and able to work effectively with other game day staff, including production crews, mascots, and promotional teams.
- Creativity: Bring creativity to the role by developing new and engaging entertainment ideas to enhance the fan experience.
