URGENT NEED-

Position: Tax Manager (Full-Time)
Location: Hybrid 8 days a month in the office. Preferred locations: Philadelphia, PA or Riverwoods/Chicago, IL.

Overview: Join our dynamic and exciting environment to expand your sales tax knowledge. We are seeking a Tax Manager who will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various tax-related responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee outsourced sales tax compliance
Resolve jurisdiction notices promptly
Address customer questions regarding taxability efficiently
Classify digital products and services accurately and research their taxability
Manage sales tax audits
Supervise compliance staff
Collaborate with IT and external consultants for SAP environment upgrades and transition to Vertex O series
Ensure monthly Internal Controls compliance
Reconcile data between G/L and Sales Tax Engine report and Sales Tax Payable accounts
Negotiate Voluntary Disclosure Agreements (VDAs)
Conduct and review due diligence for acquisitions
Review customer exemption certificates and prepare supplier exemption certificates
Prepare exposure calculations
Conduct Nexus reviews
Assist with Canada GST/HST implications as needed
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in accounting, taxation, finance, or related field preferred; or relevant experience
Experience: 5 years in taxation or related field
Preferred Experience:
Sales tax experience
3 years of state audit experience
Knowledge of Vertex O series or SAP
Familiarity with personal property tax and business licensing
Ability to manage a small team of tax analysts
Travel: Less than 5% annually for team meetings
Compensation:
Base salary: $145K bonus
